An update

Well I seem to be skipping updates in seasons. :)

We're towards the end of winter now, and have been blessed with a mild one this year. Uriah discovered that he enjoys being pulled around in a sled, while he relaxes and enjoys the scenery.

We're expecting our 2nd child come this June. I can feel the little one kick now, and still believe that it's one of the most amazing feelings ever! We're looking forward to meeting this new little one!

Otherwise, life if much the same. I have a nanny job where I watch a 3, and 1 year old about three days a week. They are an amazing family, and I'm blessed to have this opportunity. I might continue to nanny after our new addition, but we'll have to wait and see.

Uriah is 1 1/2 years old now, and it my pride and joy. He makes me love him more each day. He loves when I read him books. We have our "snuggle blankie", which he'll get it randomly through out the day, and come and get me for some snuggle time. <3

Orion's been busy with work. It's become the norm for him to work 6 days a week now. Some days are better than others it seems. Some days he likes it, others he wants a new job.

I just got back from an amazing visit with my family this last weekend. I love them all so much. I wish we lived closer. But for now, our home is here in Wisconsin. I pray, one day we'll be able to move closer.

We are hoping to make it to Songs For His People in Missouri in the begining of March. It'll be about a 13 hour trip, but it'll probably be the last one we can make in a while. It'll be harder to make these trips work with multiple young kids. But My brother and his wife, and some close friends are going to try to make it, so it should be fun!

My good friend Elonah is getting married the end of March. We've grown close the last few years, and it will be a sad day when she moves to Missouri after the wedding. I will miss her company, and our little jamming sessions. She'll have to visit often!

It seems like whenever I feel set in life, it changes. I get comfortable with how things are going and then bang, it shifts again. But I guess that's life for you.

Yahweh bless!

Summer has finally come! We've had a few really hot days, but it's nice to have those warm summer evenings!

Orion and I just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Two years already! Marriage is challenging, but wonderful! Wonderfully challenging. But it keeps life exciting.

For our anniversary, my dear Orion made us a steak dinner. The sweet heart. :) He also got me a beautiful bracelet and two roses. It was fantastic!

We just got a puppy! He's half german shepherd, half english setter. Definitely a challenge. He's got tons of energy, but shows great intelligence. Orion and I finally agreed on the name Trigger. He's been growing tons. I brought him with me to my nanny job, and he decided to jump into their just blooming tiger lilies. I dragged him out right away, but the damage was already done. Thankfully, the kids mother wasn't angry. I nanny for a great family. :)

Uriah will be one year old in one week! Our big boy is waving, gib gabbering, and walking, when he wants to. He had seven teeth with one more popping through. And boy does he eat. He didn't take to solid foods until the beginning of June, and now he eats like crazy. He loves blueberries and sauerkraut.

Today I was slicing peaches to freeze (we just got two big boxes as well as a box of cherries, yum!), and Uriah climbed into the empty peach box I'd set on the floor. Not to be left out, Trigger decided to join him. They were quite snug together. I wanted to snap a picture, but of course, my camera battery was dead.

But that's all I have for this update.

February 16th, 2011

My goodness, where has the time gone? Life has gone on, not waiting for me to update my blog.

My dear Uriah is over six months old now!

He's grown so fast! He has 4 teeth already, and grabs everything in reach. He sits up well on his own, but no crawling yet. Once he is, he'll be into everything!!! He's so curious and wants anything you have.

I'm hoping to start him on solid foods soon. I want to follow the weston price diet for him.

I am so ready for spring! It seems like my summer just wizzed by this last year, but I was a little preoccupied with Uriah. I'm looking forward to going to the beach, and laying out in the sun.

I feel like I should have a ton more to write, but I can't think of anymore to write right now. I'll try to update more. I should have some good stories to tell here and there.

Uriah James LoGalbo

Uriah James was born Thursday, July 22nd, at 7:03 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces, was 21 inches long with ten fingers and ten toes.
My labor started 3:00 on Tue. so I didn’t get a lot of sleep in the following days. I’m still trying to catch up.
It was a long intense labor, with a few scares. We are thankful for all the prayers. We had two amazing midwives with us, and my mom was able to make is, which I was so thankful for.
Uriah was not breathing when he was born. The umbilical chord was wrapped around his left wrist, and got so tight as to cut off the circulation. The midwives knew there was something wrong, as they had been watching his heart rate. Immediately after he was born, they suctioned out his airways, gave him oxygen, and rubbing him to try to get him breathing. He was completely limp. They called for an ambulance, which showed up about five minutes later, but thankfully, Uriah had started breathing in the meantime. His heart had never stopped beating. I was pretty much in shock, just watching everything.

So we are enjoying the little miracle that the Lord has blessed us with, and are VERY thankful to say that Uriah is doing wonderful. Orion and I are doing fine as well. Orion thinks Uriah's the cutest baby ever. I am sleepy. :D

Well it happened! Our wedding was on June 20th 2009 and we were blessed with a beautiful day. It was sunny and warm, but not too warm. The ceremony whizzed by, but seemed to take forever, and was sealed by our very first kiss.

Pictures proceeded that, taken by our good friend Moriel, and she did a wonderful job. Finally we ate dinner, and took some more pictures.

Had a little dance... We, of course, did the classic virginia reel, and posties, and I only wish we could have danced more. Orion and I drove off into the sunset, pop cans in tow, around nine that night. We made it a few hours, only to realize that Orion had forgotten his wallet! So the next morning we had to head back, retrieve the wallet, say hi to everyone again, and start our long drive to Colorado.

We had two weeks set aside for the honeymoon. We spent a week in Colorado, and the other week making our way home. We stopped in Nebraska and South Dakota.

In Steamboat springs, Colorado, we hiked up fish creek falls all the way to the top. It was a mountain! I was affected by the altitude, and found it hard to breath, but Orion was pretty much running up the trail. :P

We also went swimming in a hot springs, and went white water rafting! Didn't get pictures though.

We drove through the rocky mountain national park, and saw some moose and elk.

There was snow!

We stopped by to visit the Weiland family in Nebraska on our way back.

We saw Chimney rock.

And mount Rushmore

We were blessed with a wonderful honeymoon. Got to see lots of sights.

We have now been married over seven months, and are expecting out first baby in July!

Marriage is a new journey in life. It's not always easy, in fact, it's down right hard at times. But the reward is well worth it. Life is definitely different. New challenges and new responsibilities. I can't believe I'm going to have a baby in five months! I'm definitely not a kid anymore. ;) I'm looking forward the the growing changes the Lord's bringing into my life.

Torn

Lately I've been feeling more and more of how much my life is going to change come this June. How my much my life is changing!!! Some day's this wedding planning is overwhelming. I just want to be done!!! There's so much to do, so much to plan, so much to think about that sometimes I can't wait for June 20th to be here already!!! Not to mention how much I miss Orion.

But then, I see the other side of the coin. I hear my little brothers laughing and giggling while Seth reads a Jed a story. I hear the girls talking (sometimes arguing) in the the bedroom next door. And then I stop to think how much I'm going to miss all of this. Yes, even the arguing.

I'm going to miss the random road trips Jake and I take, living in the country, being able to run outside and let out a yell at any time of day, jumping on the trampoline with my siblings, playing music with the family band, harmonizing with Addie, being able to see my family everyday! This list really is endless. :P I've lived here all my life. Never moved. And now, I'm getting married! Starting out on a new chapter of life! Ahhh! That is an exciting, but terrifying thought! :D

So, I'm holding on to every moment that I have left here, trying to appreciate it in it's entirety. As much as I love Orion, I'm going to miss this so much!

The wedding plans are all coming along fine. The bridesmaid dresses are in the works. The musicians are practicing. The favors are being assembled. The programs are... in the works. :P There's a ton of daisies to be punched out and glued together. But things are coming along fine. :D It's nice to see things fall into place.

Find contentment in life, wherever you are, and don't take for granted all that you have at the moment, because you won't always have this moment.

Wedding plans

Wow! I knew weddings involed a lot of things. After all, I helped out with Emily's wedding, but wow! There's so much to think about, and plan!!!

Well as of now, we're going to have an outdoor wedding on the farm, like Emily's. Pray for good weather!!! We are renting a tent this time though, just in case!

We've narrowed down the wedding party (which was not as easy as it sounds), and the wedding colors, (Yellow, Teal and Aqua, (at least that's what I call the colors. :P I don't know if that's their porper names) and some silver).

We're probably going to have the wedding around 2, and now we're working on the menu and decorations. :) We are definetly going to have a dance in the barn! As of now Orion and I are taking off the night of the wedding for a honeymoon in Colorado! We wanted to see mountains and nature so that's what we get!!! I wanted to see the redwood forest, but we're now going that far this time. :)

When Orion was down visiting for a weekend, we spent an afternoon registering at Traget. That was a lot of fun! We also registered at Herburgers.

After the wedding I'll be moving to Wisconsin! That'll be a huge change for me, as I've lived here for my entire life!!! Big changes are happening! I've always wanted to move. I thought it'd be fun! As a kid, I used to pack up cardboard boxes with my things and then unpack them, pretending I was moving. :P Now it'll be the real thing!

Hmm, and update on my life in general...

~I'm still nannying twice a week, though this week I'm over here every day, as the Hansons are moving their family business, to another location.

~I was selected to sing at this years Mache homeschool conference in the cities this April! That's a big thing! I'll be singing 'They prayed' and "The Galatians song' two origional songs of mine.

That's all for now! :P Yahweh bless!
