Gospel gathering

The 10th annual gospel gathering was this last weekend down by Branson, MO. For the last two years, Dad, Mom, Jacob, Jedidiah and I have gone down, but this year the whole family went. It was quite a trip. We left at 2:00 in the morning on Thursday. We stopped at a friends house, the McDermots, on the way down, and had a good visit. They run a Christian magazine called SALT, and my parents met them at one of their conferences. They have been blessed with 12 children! Luke, Addie and I got to preform a couple of our songs for them. I didn't get any pictures though. We arrived at the camp about 7:00 P.M. and met up with the Coukes that night. The next day was filled with Music and speakers. At 4:30 P.M. I got uo and sang two songs; "I give praises to you" (a song that I wrote) and "Living prayer" by Alison Krauss. Then Luke and Addie accompanied my on their violins for "Nothing but the blood". Seth and Betsy then joined us on stage to sing "Jesus is the Rock". I then finished up by singing another song that I wrote that is yet untittled. It all went fairly well (I messed up a bit). I'm so proud of my siblings with how far they've come. We got to see lots of friends. The whole weekend was amazing. On Sunday night, the kids played musical chairs, and I never. I'll try to post some pictures. Yahweh Bless.

Trust

Yesterday my baby brother Jedidiah fell down four steps. Betsy left him in the hallway, and he scooted to the edge and plummeted down. He's fine, he was just a little shaken. Usually we protect him from getting hurt. That made me think of how trusting babies are. They have faith that you will clothe them, feed them, and keep them from harm. That's the kind of faith we need to have in God. Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as as little child will by no means enter it Luke 18:17 It's the faith that a little child has that we need to acquire. Total trust, that He will take care of us always. Even when we "fall down the stairs", we need to trust that there's a reason, and that He's protecting us from greater harm. God bless.

My first BLU

Our family picture

My first 4-H BLU was this weekend! It was fun, and everything went smoothly. We, as state 4-H ambassadors, had to plan all the activities, and run them. I'm glad to be home, though right now I'm home alone.

The rest of my family went to some friends house for a bible meeting. It's funny, but I come home to an empty house, and I could do whatever I want (read a book, watch a movie) but I decide to wash dishes and clean the kitchen for my free time. I know my mom will appreciate it though. Yahweh bless. Molly.

February 1 2007

The first of the month, and it's gotten cold! It's supposed to be -20 degrees this weekend, and I'll be traveling. :{ I'm going to my first 4-H BLU (Building Leadership and Understanding) retreat this weekend (one of my state 4-H ambassador duties).
My dad and I are going to build a hope chest together this year, and we just bought the wood. It's oak, and that's all I can tell you about it. I'll have to post some pictures, when we start on it.
My latest news is that I got a 20 minute time slot for the SFHP bible conference in Missouri! I'm very excited. For those of you who don't know, I play guitar and sing. I'm going to play two songs on my own, "I give praises to you" (a song I wrote) and "Living Prayer" (Alison Krauss). Then Luke, Addie (siblings) and I are going to perform "Nothing but the Blood" (they both play violin). Then Betsy and Seth (more siblings) will perform with all of us "Shelter in the Time of Storm". And Last, if we have time, we'll play "Amazing Grace". SFHP is February 23-25, but Lord willing we will be starting down early (like 2 in the morning) Thursday and heading home Monday morning. I can't wait. Last year was amazing. I can't wait to see all my friends again. Yahweh bless.
